Employment is one of the strongest indicators of success after incarceration, yet many states struggle to track reentry employment data in a way that can inform policy, funding, and program improvements.
In this webinar, the CSG Justice Center took a close look at one state’s innovative cross-system approach to go beyond recidivism and focus on factors that reduce recidivism—and how other states can apply it. Specifically, the webinar covered:
- How North Carolina tracks employment after incarceration across systems
- Key challenges—and solutions—for integrating and linking data across agencies
- What employment data reveals about reentry and how to apply those insights
This event was a follow-up to “Beyond Recidivism: A New Era of Measuring Reentry Success,” which broke down 5 measures (and dozens of metrics) every state should track.
